The recently restored historic Madeira House was built in 1884. Located on a quiet street in the heart of Mendocino, this comfy 2 bedroom/2 bath is a perfect place to enjoy the entire Village and our beautiful coastline. Big River Beach, breathtaking sunsets in Mendocino Headlands State Park, grocery stores, Mendocino's little shops, restaurants, bars and museum - all within walking distance!

The Madeira House features everything you need for a memorable stay. Downstairs finds a full-size bathroom with tub/shower combo; freshen up your clothes with a modern washer and dryer in the Laundry room; and make an epic vacation dinner in the fully stocked kitchen equipped with new appliances - gas stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, even a new sink and faucet! The Dining room table seats 6, with a long padded window-bench along the perimeter. The Living room boasts a large flat screen TV/DVD player - no formal 'television' reception, however it is connected to the house Internet, and provides NetFlix, Youtube and other streaming services. At the end of the day, fall asleep on the large Cal-King in the Master Bedroom.

Upstairs is a bedroom with a Queen size bed and attached full bathroom with shower. Additionally up there is another bedroom/work space with a fold out couch that sleeps two, an ocean view in the distance, and a unique perspective of the renown 160+ year-old carved redwood sculpture crowning the Masonic Hall, "Father Time & the Maiden".

In the lovely landscaped backyard there is an attached deck with a new gas grill for      BBQ-ing; also back there, a large separate deck provides a picnic table, umbrella and reclining chairs - perfect for soaking up the sun and ocean air.  In front of the house is a large, open reading porch, fronted by a beautifully kept colorful garden - a very relaxing spot for enjoying a book or watching the day slip by with a glass of local wine.

The Madeira House is a great place to absorb the natural beauty of Mendocino while getting to enjoy this incredible community. Call us and book it today for a most memorable Vacation!!
