The Light Station is managed and operated by the Point Cabrillo Lightkeeper's Association, a 501-C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the Point Cabrillo Light Station.

The lighthouse at Point Cabrillo is an active aid to navigation with its third order Fresnel Lens operating today just as it did in 1909.
